Whilst all women have some degree of size difference between their breasts, asymmetry refers to an obvious inequality. It is caused by the lack of full development of the breast on one side. Breast Asymmetry can cause upset and lack of confidence in woman and for some, correcting breast asymmetry is a life changing experience.
Who is the ideal candidate for breast asymmetry correction surgery?
- Want to try and balance a difference in the two breasts
- Want to try and balance the breasts as well as regaining size after weight loss or pregnancy
- Have a longstanding unhappiness with their breast sizes
- Just want to enhance their appearance
- Want to boost self confidence
What size can I increase my breasts to?
Your surgeon will discuss with you the cup size you would like to achieve from your breast enlargement. This is normally a maximum increase of two to three cup sizes.
What does breast asymmetry correction involve?
Breast augmentation involves inserting different sized implants behind the breast. The procedure is carried out under general anesthetic and requires no more than an overnight hospital stay.
What should I know before I decide to go ahead with breast asymmetry correction?
Before you decide to go ahead with corrective breast surgery, it’s important to have a thorough one-to-one medical consultation with a surgeon who specialises in such surgery. We will explain the improvements you can realistically expect, taking into account your age, skin texture and the existing shape and position of your breast tissue and nipples. It is important to understand that perfection is rarely achievable, but differences can be dramatically reduced. In addition, if there are large differences, additional incisions, for example around the areola, may be suggested to equalise differing sizes.
Are there any risks to breast asymmetry correction surgery?
Complications as a result of breast enlargement surgery are extremely rare, but this will be discussed with you in detail at your consultation. The modern implants used by Eternesse Anti Aging Clinic ensure that the risk of capsular contracture (or encapsulation) has never been so low.
Will my breasts look and feel natural?
Yes. During the first few weeks your breasts will feel firm and swollen, but pert. Once the breasts have settled, they’ll soften to a more natural appearance and feel.
Will I experience any pain?
Most women experience some tenderness (rather than actual pain) following breast enlargement surgery and take pain relief for up to one week afterwards.
How long should I take off work?
Normally you should take 7–10 days off work. You may be advised to take more time off if your job involves any lifting or carrying.
Can I expect aftercare?
We take a special pride in our excellent levels of post-operative support and aftercare. To monitor your progress, we will invite you back to Eternesse Anti Aging Clinic at prescribed intervals after your breast enhancement surgery for follow-up examinations with your surgeon or our nursing staff.
